Birdi at Work
This photograph of an English Sparrow
was created outside a shed in my
backyard. I hid in the shed and ran a
cable release to the camera on a tripod
placed next to the bird feeder. I observed
the birds through a crack in the wall of the
shed.

At first the birds did not come to the feeder
because they knew I was in the shed. If I
left the shed then they would return. So I
had my wife enter the shed with me then
had her leave. The birds then returned to
the feeder because they thought both of us
had left. They saw someone go in and
someone go out but they can't count.
