Photography of Princeton Students

Photojournalism

This photograph was created at a
student orientation at Princeton
University. The photograph
demonstrates how more effective a
photograph communicates when it
illustrates people actively involved
in an activity which demonstrates
who they are and what they are about.
A group photograph of these students
would show what they look like but
not would not communicate their
excitement and energy over enrolling
into Princeton. This photograph was
taken at a low angle using a 18mm
lens to draw attention to the
foreground and to emphasize depth.
